The way in which my son implements the knowledge gained by listening to stories is quite amazing... Expand

Hey Poonam,

Yeah! I learnt my lesson. Now I am trying to search for some safe topics. Still searching though :-)

You think my son is going to make me proud one day. I am already proud of him :-)) I am happy he is making me proud now. Ofcourse the down side is I have to visit Principal's office to tell her that I am going to discipline my son at home :-)

Thank you for the recommendation.

Cheers,

Madhuri

Oh my God!!!

I don't think anyone would risk narrating the epics to 2-year olds or 3-year olds.... after what you have experienced...

But I must say, touche! Your sone is reeeeally cute... and brainy and smart! He is going to do u proud one day.

Madhuri,
Thanks for the note.. I missed this wonderful blog.. Cute how these kiddos ask these questions.. :) :)

A few weeks back I went through the same motions with my older one while we were reading the "Ramayan"..he had to do a religion course for his Boy scouts...so I was trying to educate him...
he had such funny questions and interpretations of the stories that I had a tough time keeping a staight face and explaining to him the story...

cheers

Hey kvakutty,

Yeah it is. Actually i was interested in studying child psychology when I was doing my Masters in Computer Applications in India. I used to get big fat books and study. I thought if I ever go to US I wil do my Masters in Psychology. I came to US, I ended up doing another masters in software itself :-)

But now I am learning practically raising my son;-)

Thanks for the recommendation.

Cheers,

Madhuri

Hey Anjala,

Welcome to my blog.

Thanks for the recommendation and the beautiful comment. Initially when I started I wanted to be an ideal mom/super mom who can do anything and everything for her kid to perfection  But looks like the path is getting difficult every single moment

My mom also appreciates the way in which I answer his qs and asks me if I dont get headache at the end of the day

If I write a journal at the end of the day I can easily prepare a question bank for the parents of a 3 yr old and may be consider selling them. Not sure in India but here in US they will sell like hot cakes

Let me see how long I can survive answering his qs.

Baby hunger haan :-) It is a totally different world after kids but it is lots of fun too. Every single day you see them learn some thing new, teach you in the process. ofcourse lot of mess around, painful days included (package deal :-)

Keep coming I have more in the pipeline - one of them with a title - "Girls are not humans"

Cheers,
Madhuri

Madhuri,
Lovely post. I don't know how you stash away all the QA and serve it up so humourously. It is endearing, the way you are able to be so natural with him - not tensed..worked up..
..listening to his queries without impatience...kiddo is lucky that his 'why' why' is being fielded so well -- keeps you on your toes, huhn?
mmm...you almost gave me baby-hunger...but I quickly said 'pass' :))
Do keep posting more such conversations. Enjoyable read.
